Good morning!

What a week it has been. With all that is going on in our world right now, it’s easy to feel anxious and worried. Changes in routine, breaking news bulletins every few hours and empty supermarket shelves all seem to be signs that we should panic, that we need to put ourselves first and that we’ve lost control. But the Bible tells us a different story. We can put our trust in God, because He is our source of peace, our source of light and our source of hope.

Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him,” but you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and He answers me from His holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.

Psalm 3:2-6

As we ‘do church differently’ in the coming weeks and months, let’s remember that Jesus is the Light of the World and the true source of peace and hope. Let’s worship Him together using these songs. They should just play through if you click on the link. Let’s praise and worship the hope of the nations, our LIVING hope. And let’s remember that He has promised to never let us go. Just as He has been our hope in ages past, He will be our hope for years to come.

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Below is Rick Warren preaching the next message in our 40 Days In The Word series – “Understanding the Meaning of a Text”. Why not set aside some time to listen and keep up with where we are in our series?

I want to close how I began with Psalm 3:2-6 – Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him,” but you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and He answers me from His holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.

I hope these simple thoughts, verses and songs have helped you focus on God this morning and the hope that we have in Him. Stay connected with God and others – feed your faith instead of your fear!

Have a good day and God bless,

Kath.
