Hello everyone!
It’s Sunday again! Have you had a good week? I expect you’ve made lots of choices this week – just like we were thinking about with Julia O last Sunday. Taliah and I played a silly game of ‘Would You Rather’ where we had to make a choice between two different things. Orange juice or apple juice? Crisps or cake? Snakes in your house or spiders? A bath full of jelly or cold baked beans? Which would you choose?!? Taliah also completed the maze activity sheet. The secret message was really important:
God gives us courage to love our enemies!

Let’s sing together before we hear from Lois. It’s time to jump up and down!
Hi – it’s Lois here and today we are going to be talking about feeling worried.
This video is about when Jesus calms the storm.
Watch the video with a family member and talk about the story afterwards.
How would you have felt in the boat? Would you have been worried?
I was worried when I started secondary school. I couldn’t sleep the night before and I remember not wanting to go. I actually cried in the car when my grandma (Julia O) dropped me off!! She told me to get on with it and hurry up and go in! I also cried with Niamh when we were walking in through the gates. She was no help! By the time I got to the hall, I was a mess and Marion had to come and sit with me and give me a big hug!!! How embarrassing!!!
Think about these questions and talk to someone about your answers:
1) What were the disciples worried about?
2) What did they do about it?
3) What sort of things do you worry about?
4) What could you do about it?
Right now, you could be worried about going back to school whenever that happens, having a new teacher or maybe when you are going to see your friends. You can still talk to someone about your worries just like the disciples did. Talk to a grown up about how you are feeling and then try praying to God and asking Him to help you not to feel worried. This is what I did and still do when I am worried. I still feel worried but I know God is with me.
I know I am worried about when I go back to school. I will start a new year, maybe have new teachers and have to start thinking about which subjects I will choose for my GCSEs. I also know that I can pray to God and ask Him to help me. You can do the same!
This week, try to learn and remember this verse and say it out loud when you are feeling worried. It is found in 1 Peter Chapter 5 verse 7.

Here are some activities that you could try at home:
1) Draw or paint a picture of the boat in the storm. You could print and colour this one if you like.
2) Print and try this activity sheet.
3) Print and try this word puzzle if you would like something tricky.
4) Make a Jesus calms the storm bottle craft. Put blue coloured water, some oil and a boat cut out of plastic in an old plastic bottle. Shake it up to see the storm and then let it settle. Remember to screw the lid on tightly! Click here to see an example.

Why don’t you finish by singing this song? Use it to remind you that none of your worries are too big or too small for God. Don’t forget the actions!
Have a good week and see you soon.
Lois

Thank you Lois. Keep strong!
